Very clean rooms and friendly staff. The lack of elevator access in the annex building was inconvenient. Nice indoor pool and breakfast options available.

La Quinta By Wyndham Ely truly exceeded my expectations. The breakfast selection was impressive and available from 6 AM to 10 AM, accommodating our family's schedule perfectly. The staff was exceptionally friendly, especially the breakfast attendants who made our mornings enjoyable. Clean facilities added to our pleasant stay!

The rooms were spacious and offered enough area for the kids to play and not feel cramped we had a nice breakfast with several choices that held us until lunchtime
It wasn't the cheapest place around but for what you get it works out

Stayed in a spacious room with two queen beds. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. The extra sink above the fridge was a nice touch. Good-sized TV; however, it lacked special channels. Easy access to a grocery store made meal prep convenient. Staff were attentive and courteous. Check-in was slow, and there were some hiccups with the room assignment. The hot water was lukewarm, a point I reported. AC issues arose, but the staff quickly moved us to another room. They handled the situation well under pressure. Pet-friendly and decent breakfast options. A solid choice for travelers, but ensure you double-check room details and amenities before arrival.

Clean rooms and very friendly staff. The breakfast area could use better seating options. Conveniently located next to a grocery store. Some issues with elevator access in the annex building.

The breakfast is slammin’ with tasty eggs that are a delight. Staff is friendly and the location is super convenient, right off the main road near restaurants.
Parking was scarce, which is a bit frustrating.

The room felt unclean, like it hadn't been thoroughly vacuumed. I even found leftover candy under a cushion—definitely not what I expect when checking in some place! It felt dingy overall.

My recent stay was fantastic because it was just a short stroll to a nearby grocery store and several eateries, including fast food places and cozy restaurants, all within a 5-10 minute walk, making it easy to grab a bite or supplies after exploring, plus attractions like the Nevada Northern Railway Museum were just under 2 km away, perfect for a lovely walk to see the sights; the hotel also offered a comfortable stay with clean rooms and friendly staff, but the bathroom lighting could definitely use some brighter bulbs for better visibility.

The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were particularly plush, providing a great night's sleep. We appreciated the multiple TVs in the two-bedroom suite; it allowed everyone to enjoy their preferred shows. The bathroom was tidy, featuring adequate amenities. the HVAC fan ran continuously, making it somewhat tricky to rest quietly. A nice touch was the extra sink above the fridge, which added convenience. The indoor pool looked well-maintained, although we didn't use it. The pet-friendly policy was a significant plus for us, and the proximity to the grocery store was fantastic.

The two-queen room was clean and comfy, with a nice microwave and fridge. I loved the extra sink above the fridge; it made things convenient. Having Ridley's grocery store right there was a bonus for dinner supplies. Breakfast was a delight; clean, hot, and well-managed. On the downside, check-in was rough due to a reservation mix-up that almost cost us our room. The mattress felt worn, and the shower was oddly loud. Consider providing thinner pillows; the thick ones weren't my favorite. A mixed bag, but the welcoming vibe, especially for pets, made it worth it.

It was convenient to be able to quickly touch up my clothes before heading out. I did notice that the air conditioning unit was quite noisy, which made it a bit challenging to relax and sleep peacefully. I appreciated having a sitting area in the room where I could unwind and enjoy a cup of tea. The in-room sink was also a nice addition for added convenience. The bathtub, although a bit dated, served its purpose well. One thing that caught my attention was the lack of an AM/FM alarm clock. It would have been helpful to have one for keeping track of time, especially in the morning. the coffee service in the bathroom was not the most ideal setup, and I found it a bit off-putting. While the room overall was decent, I felt that some of the furnishings were a bit worn and could use updating. The blackout curtains, in particular, seemed well worn and in need of replacement. The noise from the Ridley's grocery store parking lot outside was also a bit disruptive at times.

Got my morning waffles fix, relaxed in the outdoor pool, and explored some spooky old trains. Feeling fancy with the free Wi-Fi and breakfast.
Having to blast the TV volume to drown out the loud AC. How lovely.

Great staff and breakfast. Stairs are tough with heavy bags.

The location near a supermarket made life easy for quick snack runs during my Christmas stay. The breakfast selection was surprisingly varied and the strong coffee gave me a nice morning boost. having a spacious and cozy room was a plus, providing a comfortable space to relax after a day of exploring.
The check-in process was a bit slow during my visit due to technical issues, causing some unnecessary waiting time. The room I stayed in had a lingering burnt popcorn smell, which dampened the overall experience.

Wow, the rooms were top, notch – big TV in every room, cozy king bed, and a roomy suite to unwind in. Breakfast was a hit, especially the waffle maker and the friendly kitchen staff. The location was spot, on, right off the main road, a stone's throw from essentials, and super close to our destination.
No privacy tag for the door, more towels would've been handy, and bedding for the pull, out couch was a trek to fetch. And imagine this – no working fireplace in the big gathering room.

I chose La Quinta for its convenient location to explore Ely. However, the bright and inviting stay pleasantly surprised me. The on-site restaurant and bar offered delicious American favorites and a great variety of beers and cocktails.
Toilet seat smaller than toilet.

We also checked out the Santa Cruz Surfing Museum - rad views, bro!
Wish they had a lit club or bar on site for us young party animals! .

We had a fantastic time at the Santa Cruz Surfing Museum, perched high above Steamer Lane, watching amazing surfers ride the waves. The kids were in awe, and we soaked up the ocean views, making unforgettable memories. The indoor pool was a hit too!
My wife says that a children's play area would enhance the family experience.

Our stay at this hotel was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The hotel itself was spotless, with clean and comfortable rooms. We were pleasantly surprised by the well-equipped workout room and the modern feel of the entire property. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and the hotel was incredibly quiet at night, allowing for a peaceful rest. This hotel was definitely the best in town, surpassing our expectations.
Website discrepancies led to a room mix-up and an incorrect number of beds. The swimming pool could have been warmer, and the room didn't feel as clean as we would have liked, with some food remnants found under a cushion.

we've stayed at most of the motels and hotels in this old mining town, none of which have been 'slam - dunks' until we stayed at the La Quinta. the cleanliness and overall comfort of this lodging facility were unexpected and much appreciated. well equipped and nicely decorated, the physical plant is in great condition, suggesting consistent maintenance and attention to detail. the only way the facility could be improved would be by adding a nice sit-down restaurant that adheres to the same high standards. the lady who works there is very personable.
Couldn't stay longer?
